Most colleges require 1 credit of visual arts?
XC Rules asked:
1. Why?
and…
2. If I don’t take any visual arts classes during my high school career, but I take other things like AP Calculus, AP Biology, and AP Chemistry, do you think a college like Ohio State will still accept me?

An art school with both programs for visual and performing arts?
Darq asked:
I’m looking for an art college (NOT a liberal art college) that has programs for both visual and performing arts, but i’m having trouble finding any online. I’m not interested in the Art Institutes….my teacher told me about one that is in New York and another in Pennsylvania, but i can’t remember the names. any suggestions?
when i say performing, i mean acting/theatre, and visual stuff like illustration and whatnot.

Do you think more public schools should have magnet arts programs?
Eric S asked:
Like my school which you auditioned to get in and had music, dance, theatre, communications, visual art. And the concept was to fuse this in with academics.
You had all races and ethnicities and everybody was accepted as they were. But after coming out of a high school like that, you have idealistic expectations of the rest of the world.
Do you think the benefits of an art school program make them worthwhile?

Can somebody please give me ideas for my high school visual arts project?
Mandy C asked:
I currently have to do a project in my high school visual arts class. The project has to be appropriate for grade level as well as appropriately challenging, and we’re allowed to use any media and basically, do anything we want. But, I’m stuck for ideas.
Please give me some ideas.
And also, if you know some websites that have project ideas, that would be awesomely great too!
Thanks.
This is a visual art project.
When i say project, i mean it actually has to be an “artsy” type of project… not writing a report about art.
