i am very passionate about art and sports, plus academics. i would love to go to interlochen center for the arts for high school. i am currently in seventh grade and will be in eighth in 2008-2009. my mom doesnt want to send me to interlochen because it is far from where we live ( we live in indianapolis, IN and interlochn is four hours away from detroit) scince it is a boarding school. does anyone have the good and bad things about going to a boarding school escecailly one for arts. or does anyone have any suggestions where i could go that is closer to us?

Idyllwild Arts Academy and Besant Hill School (Formerly Happy Valley School) are good visual and performing arts boarding school located in California. If it is not very inconvenient, I suggest you should join Interlochen Arts Academy. It’s one of the best boarding fine arts school. For detailed information about the school you could visit:
No matter what you do you’ll always be away from your parents. So the distance shouldn’t matter. You’ll live away in a boarding school.
